Not Worth The Money

I really feel it is a waste of money. After purchasing ROKU I discovered that anything worth watching cost just as much as getting cable and the free channels are not that good and they are packed with lame commercials. I would not reccomend this product to anyone and I wish I could get a refund. I have never been so dis-satisfied with a product and just want to warn perspective buyers to beware.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Waste of Money, Too Many Adds

There must be a hardware issue to the Roku 3. I have to reboot / restart the Roku everytime I use it. I cannot even switch from Roku source to TV source. It is very annoying having to reboot everytime. CNN international also does not work anymore.
Cons: Bbc No Longer Available, No Video After Switching, Rebooting Issue, Does Not Improve Audio/Video, Difficult setup

Big Problems

I have the same issue as many who have posted on the internet..purple screen. Compatibility problems. Once I think it is fixed, the next time I use it the same purple screen appears (error message - HDCP....) I would never recommend this device. The old one I had worked great.

Best choice ever!

Was a customer of a dish company. They billed me for NFL ticket at 250.00 without asking. I called to cancel and they said that they would give it to me for 20.00! What? So I started looking around for other alternatives and Roku came up in a search. We bought 2. We love it-very easy setup, easy to use and enough TV programs that we don't miss all the nonsense of paid programing and garbage with commercials. If you are thinking about this, don't delay-free yourself from the 100.00 monthly bills that air only what they want you to watch. Instead, free programing that you choose to watch is the best thing since sliced bread!

Brilliant design

I use mine for watching the blaze TV, Netflix, hulu plus, pbs, and getting news headlines fast. I also love the itune app as well as pandora. I love the headphones on the remote and the ease it is to use each day. If I had to pick one thing I don't like is the battery life when using the headphones in the remote is far shorter. But everything else has been wonderful

Much better than other device, DVD players, etc, that allow wifi access to movie databases, such as Netflix. The ease of instillation (basically plug it in and a few menu inputs), and the clean interface is a welcome.
One point would be the choice of movie database choices did not really appeal to me (other than Netflix), but then again, Netflix was the main reason for my purchase so I am satisfied. Also, you can use a USB stick with the device (Roku 3), which is a bonus.
The only thing I disliked was the menu of movie database service providers would simply continue to cycle itself - I never knew when I was reviewing the same choices. But, simple enough to work through.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku3 best yet;it's even a MP3 player

Love the new layout of the interface; and ease of use. I use the Roku3 a lot to stream Radio Paradise (when not watching movies) and enjoy the music with artwork, but with the Roku3, I can now plug headphones into the remote and use it as my personal music player (volume buttons on the remote too) w/o bugging anyone in the house. My family and I also use it to watch HD movies off Netflix and Amazon in surround sound. The headphone even works for movies and the audio is in sync with the video too (works and lip movement is natural), my kids love Angry Birds Space and it plays very smooth on the Roku3, as a matter of fact the whole user interface seems crisper/faster then the Roku2's.
Pros: Fast Setup, Angry Birds Space, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Wireless Heaphone Jack

So far I use Roku for movies but will move on to news. One feature I didn't expect was the ability to interrupt a program or movie, turning off the TV, even for days, and the place I left off is held. Netflix instant play is great and since I have Amazon Prime I have access to those movies.
Pros: Attractive Design, Headphones On Remote, Simple Controls, Fast And Seamless, Easy To Install Hardware
Cons: Combersome Software Setup, Some Difficulty Setting
