ROKU 3 is HDMI. No need for audio jacks. HDMI straight to TV and use TV outputs for stereo. Simplest septu available!

Not as great as it seems

You cant connect to a wireless network that requires both a username and a password. which makes it nearly impossible to use in a dorm
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult setup, Wireless Capabilities Suc

Love the ease of use and the ability to watch a marathon of the shows that I love! I am still finding more great channels every day and am glad to have my Roku. Have not yet cut the cable cord but am going to cause I hardly watch cable anymore.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

We have had Roku's almost from the company's start and have watched the evolution. Sorry to say, its mostly a down-hill process. First, channels are becomming riddled with LOTS of commercials you can't skip over (on some channels, movies seem to stop for a minute of commercials for every 3 minutes of movie); Second many channels now charge fees - Roku seems to be dropping the free channels to make space for these for-pay subscription channels); Third, many channels show the same content and/or offer very,very limited content. Fourth, Many channels have stopped updating content (i.e., no new episodes) months ago but remain in the lineup; fifth many of the better channels (at least those we like - like Khan Academy, various educational channels, some free games, some weather channels, etc.. etc..) are simply taken away (or - like Classical Arts channel - made to require fees to view. Lastly, the hardware has become less functional (for example, analog audio -and video- out to feed external sound sound system has been removed) even if you buy the most expensive model. And last, many of the channels are just not reliable and are unavailable for long intervals. We used to love our Roku's - now we are looking for alternative streaming devices.

I am usually not good at setting things up but this was so fast and easy. The streaming of music and of course Netflix is awesome. My kids love the Angry Birds Space game which is a plus. Picture is so clear also. So much to watch!!!
