Great alternative for TV not hooked up to cable

We bought for our exercise room television which is not hooked up to cable. Love being able to watch Netflix with a hidden streaming device. Even the kids love to walk on the treadmill just so they can play on the Roku. So much smaller and easy to hide, unlike the other streaming devices we have in the house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Somewhat Disappointed

I bought this to go with my cable, expecting not to pay additional fees for movies, however there are intial freebies then there are charges for movies, your credit card has to be given, therefore if you forget to discontinue, you will auto be billed, some movies are old as me, and I am 64, and they are on my cable!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Use Roku 3 every day

Purchased over a year ago, we use this device every day. The hdmi connection
allows for connection through my home theater system. No buffering problems, and I am using DSL. Many channel choices, and very diverse, (thanks for adding you tube).

I've cancelled cable and had my Roku now for several months and absolutely Love it! There are so many options and alternatives to cable TV. I saved over $100 a month!

Wonderful Streaming Device!

I bought this and I am so happy I did! It was incredibly easy to set-up and has worked flawlessly! I had an issue when I switched out HDMI cables between two different products, but I was able to use chat support through Roku and the problem was fixed effortlessly and VERY quickly! I highly recommend this product to anybody looking for a top of the line streaming device at a very affordable price!

I only use my Roku2 and Roku3. I do not have cable TV by choice. This gets me all the shows I need. I wish I had bought two Roku3's instead of one of each. I like the headset feature on the Roku3.

Photo Slide Show Machine

I bought the Roku 3 in order to run a continuous photo slide show on one of my TV's Setup was fairly painless. The Roku does not have to be tied to the anything except the TV to run the slide show. I am presently continuously cycling through 6,800 pictures. I think it could play music at the same time but I have not tried to work that out.

We bought this a month ago, and I'm so glad we did! We don't have cable, and previously had streamed Netflix and Amazon using our WII. Having the Roku is like moving from a Model T to a DeLorean!! Also, I highly recommend getting the Roku 3, because having access to the YouTube feature is really great.
