Simply Works

We have two Rokus: Roku LT (wireless) and Roku 3 (wired via power line adapter). There has NEVER been an issue with either. We use the iPhone Roku app as a remote, particularly when searching since the app has a virtual keyboard. We use the Plex channel to stream photos, music, and video from our local collections. Beyond these conveniences is the Roku channel library which is much more extensive than any other similar streaming device -- this alone would be reason to own a Roku. In addition, set up is simple, and there is no maintenance (updates are automatic). The devices are small and unobtrusive. We have the LT mounted on the back of a wall-mounted HDTV, and the 3 sits almost invisibly next to our main HDTV. We cannot recommend Roku high enough. If one wants worry free steaming that works, then Roku is the choice.

Simply stated, Roku has allowed me to pick, ala carte, what I want to watch, rather than pay for programs I do not watch!

Have had Roku 3 for several months. The ability to watch a program at will, pause and replay it are great features. I especially enjoy being able to plug in earphones and watch without disturbing others. Wish for on/off switch on remote: save batteries and electricity.

My first Roku was their first model. The Roku 3 is the best yet. Powerful, easy to use, excellent menus, and more, it is by far the best stand alone streaming media player out there.
