Since I've owned Roku I've saved so much money on cable. I do not miss cable for one minute. If I'm not watching TV I'm listening to music. It's wonderful. I own 2.

Great for some not for others

This particular one does not work on our big HDTV. I've seen message boards with other people having the same problems. No fix, no patch nothing. The roku xd works perfect on it, but the newer one does not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's okay...

Just bought it. It's very easy too install, and doesn't take up a lot of space! However, most of the channels require you to make an account. It also is constantly loading on my favorite channel, making it hard to enjoy. I recommend the cat channel. They're so adorable! Also, I'm uncomfortable leaving it on all the time. Like Kinect for Xbox, it gives me the feeling I'm being watched.

We have had two Roku 3's for quite some time now. We use it much more than our OTA alternative. The channels offerings (both free and subscription) are numerous and relevant to our tastes.

I have been very happy with my Roku purchase. This is the 3rd Roku we own with the other two being first or second generation. I like the new one so much I am hoping to replace the old ones with a Roku 3

great streaming device

This allows us to use streaming from netflix, amazon, acornTV and a host of others. it is easy ti setup with the wifi or lan home network and gives us a lot freedom to watch what we want, when we want. Even our 6yr old granddaughter can drive it easily!
