Worked great right out of the box!

I am very pleased with my Roku3! I bought it to replace an older version of Roku and had no problems getting it set up right out of the box. I use my Roku 3 to view programs just as much or possibly even more than my regular television programs. There is an unbelievable amount of great programming provided on the Roku and a lot of it is free. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of adding Roku 3 to your home entertainment system.

While I think the Roku is great...it helps that I have excellent signal. I really like how easy it is to use, never had a single problem with the Roku itself, the remote however is cheaply made and the cost to get a new one outweighs the benefits. I used this nearly every day for a year and the remote just couldn't stand up to that kind of use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my roku on Black Friday in 2013. I don't have cable. I probably won't get cable again. I watch my favorite shows and I even pick up new shows from time to time.

We gave up cable and satellite and have no regrets! Roku is easy to use and hardly ever have any problems with it! Once in a while it freezes, but I'm not sure if that is the device or the wifi connections! Very easy to reset to solve the problem!

The best Roku player yet for captioning

We've owned three Roku players -- the first one, the Roku 2 (which we still use), and the 3. Each has improved in almost every respect over the previous, especially in terms of performance and -- VERY important for me -- the handling of closed-captioned material. (Granted, some of the captioning improvements are attributable to content providers and regulatory requirements.) I can easily imagine dispensing with cable/satellite altogether and just sticking with the Roku.
While smart TVs and such reproduce some of the streaming features of the Roku, including some of the same channels, NOTHING beats Roku for breadth of content.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this over a month ago. So far so good. The only fault is that the amount of apps available is overwhelming, too much to watch. Great solution for those of us who refuse to be Cable company slaves.
