Great at first but now having problems

Bought my first ROKU a year ago and thought it was superb. Told friends, bought one for my mother and all t.v.'s. Then, out of the blue, cannot watch anything and this message is displayed "HDCP UNAUTHORIZED CONTENT DISABLED". Thus, my opinion about ROKU has changed for the worse. It has now become an aggravation and useless device overall.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Easy, Simple Controls
Cons: Poor Design

It Stopped Working

We loved our original Roku, and bought this one because of the headphone feature. It worked great, for about a month. Then, one night we started getting a message on the screen that said our TV could not receive the HD signal. That patently wasn't the case; we have an HDTV, and it had been receiving the signal just fine for a month. It just stopped working.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: It Stopped Working

Very disappointing - unwatchable

Expected to use with Netflix, but even with hard wired "30mb" Internet connection the video quality is so bad, it is unwatchable. Panning scenes look jumpy and distorted. Broadcast TV looks much better, and is actually free. Services require account logins. And no YouTube.
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Don't know why the remote clicks and thumps sometimes and won't do anything, then starts working, have changed batteries numerous times. Never know whether we are going to be able to watch the show or not!

Only channel we've really used was PBS Kids. Some channels require additional steps to finally access them which is really confusing. Roku reminds me of a video store, looks like it is loaded with lots of stuff, but really it is full of old stuff that no one else wants. Channels that are trying to make money have the same single ad that runs over and over. Makes you want to stop watching just because of that.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Not Intutive, Same Commercials Repeated, Channels Are Confusing, Needs youtube
