Roku 3 is the greatest invention for watching tv

I gave up my satelite tv service after I received a Roku 3 as a gift. The speed at which it streams, HD picture, 5.1 digital sound, great selection of channels. I bought a second Roku 3 for my upstairs tv.

Tried Chromecast but it is limited, worked great but is limited. Tried Western Digital's interface, works ok but, again, too limited, does not support enough options. I like Roku's support of a wide variety of viewing options. Just wish they would fix that thing with the sound going all wonky.

Great Product

My wife and I bought a HDTV for our bedroom, we wanted something simple and functional that didn't take up a lot of space. We subscribe to a number of streaming content providers (1 sports and 1 tv/movies), so we wanted a product that allowed flexibility. This product met and exceeded our expectations.
Highly recommend getting the remote with headphone jack, allows your spouse to be in the same room and not keep them up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast and Easy to operate

I bought this several months ago to add to a TV I had in my media room that didn't have built in smarts. I am very pleased with the results. Due to the speed of the device, the user interface, and the ease of use, I prefer using this TV now over my much more expensive model in the Family room with built smart TV capabilities. Most excellent purchase and would do it again in a heart beat.

After 90 days, it has started locking up about once a day. Have to unplug and reboot. Not real happy about that, that is why I bought the R3 and not a lesser version. Often I just switch over to my Sony (with blu-ray) because I don't use cable.

I bought our Roku about a year after buying our Apple TV...without a doubt, hands down Roku blew Apple TV out of the water! The apps are fantastic! the channels are great and the streaming is super quick! The PBS app is my favorite. We still use both devices on separate t.v.'s and have no reason for cable whatsoever!

Wonderful product! However, if I could add one thing, it would be a Bluetooth interface. I *REALLY* wish I could use a Bluetooth-enabled keyboard with my Roku.
