Great Potential

The roku device has a great layout and is very easy to use. The main issue with the device is that the channels have unpredictable functionality ie: Hulu and Netflix. I've dealt with errors and freezes multiple times since I've purchased the device a few weeks ago. Overall I am disappointed with the consistency of streaming quality.

We cut our cable TV and been very please with our ROKU. Now we have more control of what programming enters our home. I have recommened this to several of my friends.

Love my Roku 3

I just got my Roku 3 last week as a gift and really love it. Think how much you value the entertainment at your finger tip when you're on a flight. Now you have it right at home, and much more. There are so many channels (750 of different types, movies, music, games, etc). I was really overwhelmed at first. Luckily, Roku helps you out by splitting them into many categories together with good description and user ratings. Being not really a tech-savvy person, I find the navigation is really intuitive. It did not take long for me to learn. I really love the one-stop search functionality. When I forget which channel I watched the movie on, I use this to look-up instead of checking back each channel 1 by 1. Also, when I tell my daughter new good movie so she can watch on her Roku, this also saves me the trouble of remembering the channel, she can perform the search herself. Besides American movies, Roku also has channels featuring Asian movies and dramas, i.e. Asian Crush, Kdrama, Drama Fever, Crunchyroll. These channels are all free and have decent to good quality. This is really a plus. Roku 3 has a headphone jack in the remote control. I haven't used this, but I'm sure it's very useful for people who wish to enjoy the entertainment on Roku without disturbing people around.

Really nice device Roku! Wifi connection is really good. Picture quality is awesome. I like the global search which shows you all the different channels where the show is available. The headphone jack on the remote is really nice especially if you want to watch something while someone else in the room is reading or something. Lots of free channel choices and if you subscribe to Netflix or Amazon prime you have lots of watching options. This is a great streaming device! I'll be cutting my cable service very soon.

Roku 3 - Great Product!

Easy set-up to wireless network. Lost connection once after set-up but unit remembered password and reconnected easily. No problems since. We don't have fastest wireless connection out there but we are very pleased with the HD video/audio quality and its ability to hold the wireless connection and stream without any lag or hiccups. Very clean images! Love the headphone jack on the remote as Roku is in our bedroom and my wife and I can enjoy TV without disturbing the other who may be trying to sleep! Very good! We mostly use this for Netflix but our son liked the on-remote game controls. Easy to use and simple remote buttons. While this was a gift, we've recommended Roku to others--so far at least one friend bought Roku3 and and loves it too.

A Great Product that does it all

I have my great big HT set-up with the TV, speakers, blu-ray player, etc., and then this ity-bity box to top it all off. It's truly an all-in-one device that seemlessly adds streaming to my home theater. Love it!
