best way to pull the plug on cable and satellite

I live in a rural setting and cannot get tv in any other fashion. Had basically decided to do without until I heard about Roku. This is my second and I love it. TV on demand is much better and now I am able to keep up with world events.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i've had my unit for a while now and it's not worked right from day one.. sometimes the buttons don't work at all (something about re-establishing the frequency).. if i don't use it for a couple of days the thing won't even respond at all.. i have to unplug and plug back in.. not convent even if the wires are exposed.. .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great picture

I bought the roku 2 first and got not great picture so exchanged it for the roku 3 instead. It was so worth the money - it has great picture, apps, and the headphone feature is great. I only wish it had an Internet browser app of some kind (like Internet Explorer or something) and the remote goes through batteries quickly.

Why didn't we get one sooner?

Had been interested in this for a long time but watched Netflix on the Xbox 360 we had. Finally tried this at a place on vacation and saw how quickly it responded and how well the interface worked. One of the first things I did when we got back home was buy this and we've been using it ever since.

We upgraded to the Roku 3 because we enjoyed the Roku LT greatly but wanted more features and capabilities. We have been pleasantly surprised with this device. We actually gave our Roku LT to a friend so they could experience its awesomeness too. Mostly we were looking for the dual band capabilities of the Roku 3 for faster streaming in HD and we have not been disappointed. The Ethernet port is an added benefit if you don't have wireless. And the motion remote and games is pretty sweet too. However, it does freeze up or reset randomly from time to time but it's not a big deal for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this new Roku box after having owned many others. This one with its improved wireless, user friendly interface, and USB port is fantastic. I believe that Roku produces one of the greatest products in the world. It has allowed me to trim $60 dollars off a cable bill that had virtually no channels with anything interesting on. This box has an autoplay feature for Netflix. I cannot say enough good things about this little box. I currently own a Roku 3, a Roku 2, a streaming stick and an original Roku box. All of the boxes have USB ports on them and I have a 2 TB hard drive on each one that has 10's of thousands of movies, television shows and music on them. This has allowed me to trim my CD, DVD and VHS collections to virtually nothing. I have them all at the touch of a Roku remote. This is the greatest entertainment purchase I have made in years!!!

Better than the DVD player 4 sure

I had the 1st generation Roku and loved it so much that when the Roku 3 came out, there was no doubt I would purchase. All I do is watch Netflix on my Roku 3 which has been flawless and has followed me where ever I go with Wi-Fi access. My nephew loves to play the Angry Birds Space with the motion controller, and he is very good at it to only be 4 years old!! The Roku 3 is very user friendly and super easy to setup. The Roku box itself does tend to stay very warm but it has never posed a problem, I would just try to set it out in the open if possible. If there was ever a connection problem, it never turned out to be a problem with the Roku 3. Bad connection problems were always because of my wireless network, not because of the Roku 3. So all the people that rate this product 1 star for connectivity problems need to check their home wireless network system before blaiming the Roku. Like I say, this thing has been FLAWLESS for me for over 1 year now. 5 star product IMO.
