Bought this about 4 months ago. It has an impressive set of channels of varying content. Honestly, some of the channels are pretty worthless, but there are a ton of great ones too. I love to pack it up and take it with me so I have all my favorite programming no matter where I go.

Spectacular device

Easy to use. The ethernet connection rocks. The software is really fast (compared to that of the Wii which took minutes to get channels up and running or switching channels also took minutes), when I hit the home button, it takes me home in seconds. I have my external hard drive hooked up to view photos, videos, and movies (you need to install the media player channel). I bought mine refurbished from newegg so it was cheaper than this website. We are cancelling our cable and just keeping internet because the Roku has replaced all forms of tv watching. I an extremely happy with my choice to buy this. I wouldn't trade it for anything... except the Roku 4, whenever that comes out.

I have purchased 3 Rokus for my personal use and also as gifts. This has been by far the best purchase I have ever made. I have not had cable TV since 2010. I only wish it came with an on/off switch or control buttons on the unit in case you misplace the remote control. If I loose my remote I can't use my Roku.

Excellent little streaming box - love the apps!

We've had our Roku 3 for almost a year now. Big pluses: has a usb port, the video player app can play most video formats, lots of app selections (finally got ESPN recently, hooray!!). Also, I like that Roku offers different levels of players with various added features and capabilities (e.g. if you don't care about the USB port, go for the cheaper Roku 2). The only downsides are that occasionally we will have a video that will not play in the video player app and HBOGO app doesn't support DirectTV on the Roku player (bummer...).
