I love the Roku 3. right out of the box it darn near set its self up. I have been recommend the Roku 3 to my friends and family. with out a question a good investment.

I got this as a mother's day gift and I'm pretty pleased with it. The only problem I've found is that it tends to freeze up at times and then has to be reset. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying it.

Greatest thing since sliced bread!

I have had Roku 3 for almost a year, and I love it. Since I have a brain disorder which prevents me from sleeping more than 2 hours at a time, I find the Roku indispensable for watching movies on 'Netflix' or 'Amazon' at all hours of the day or night. It is also good for PBS13 programs.

Some great features, but

Some great new features, but could be improved greatly by some simple app fixes. Roku should stay on it's channel partners to fix things like Netflix not having a screensaver, etc. Makes our Roku 2 even without the new features much more attractive to us. Overall, improvements to 3 don't outweigh the annoyance of little problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use but not the value expected

Roku streaming works well and is reliable. Set was straightforward and I was using my Netflix account quickly.
A draw back is that most of the streaming available is via a paid subscription. Once the costs are added up, the value of using Roku is much less than I expected.
For now, Roku gives me a convenient way to stream Netflix to the TV and watch a few old news clips.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Roku to begin the task of ending my TWC cable viewing. Roku offers many channels and is continually adding more. As soon as my wife is comfortable with the device, my family will take the final steps to TWC freedom.

Way better than cable

We bought this in an area that we could not get a short-term cable contract without paying a ridiculous amount each month for TV and internet, so after some research we found the Roku and we have kept it ever since. We have friends that have satellite with hundreds of channels, but they all seem to prefer the Roku and always ask lots of questions about it. You don't have to wait on your favorite show to come on or record it using an expensive cable/satellite plan. You just pick what you want to watch any time you feel like watching it.I would recommend this product to anyone. The best part is, if you drop your cable or satellite provider, the Roku can pay for itself in a few months.
