Easy to set up and get going!

I bought the Roku 3 so that I could stream my workouts from Daily Burn and also to stream Netflix. I love all of the options for channels. Sometimes it's a little confusing to tell what's free and what's not, but you just have to take some time to explore and look at everything. It was insanely easy to set up and I'm glad I got it!

I have had mine for about 6 months now, and it's way better than tv. There are channels that are free and some that you can choose to pay for, but either way, you get all your choices in one place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Interface but Serious Problem

The Roku 3 has a high quality interface - attractive graphics - ease of use. It also has a serious defect. Many users get the HDCP Unauthorized / Content Disabled error. This is a purple screen with that message - there is audio but no video. There are many proposed do-it-yourself solutions posted online, but none work on a regular basis. The Roku device loses its security "handshake" with the TV, and the HDCP security system refuses to allow the video stream to play. It a disabling defect to the device, and from what I have read online, Roku has done nothing serious to fix it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like much of your average cable-cutters out there. We decided to upgrade from a Sony media player...........and let me tell you, this roku 3 is a HUGE upgrade. Not only do we get all of channels in one place, but we get games, and the usual theme surprise. If you have a windows pc, get PlayOn, and say goodbye to cable.

Great to use but I don't see the point of some of the channels due to needing a TV provider because if I had TV I wouldn't need Roku.
