Works as advertised!

I've had my Roku 3 for almost a year and it works as advertised. The interface is speedy and the channels available are excellent. Love the fact it transmits Dolby 5.1 and provides access to my online content to my home theater system at a reasonable price. This is our third Roku and every time we upgrade, we keep the previous one and just add the functionality to a new room in our house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Abundance of channels

I purchased it 6 months ago and we love the ease of use and the large selection of channels. We have had zero problems with our roku. Netflix, hulu, Amazon, youtube, Pandora...They are all available, plus much more.

I can't think of a technological device that gets more use in our house than the Roku 3. Our kids love watching their favorite shows and movies on Netflix, Amazon, and PBS Kids. My wife and I immediately reach for the Roku when it's time to wind down at the end of the day or stay in for a movie 'date night.' I recommend it to everyone I know!

I purchased the Roku as a work around having to get a second cable box for the TV in my nieces room. I hate giving my cable company more then I need to. The Roku has done everything I bought it to do. The device never drops a stream, nor does it have any problems with buffering. I will admit i do not have the fastest internet speeds, but the Roku takes that in stride and uses well what it has. The menu system is simple, and the remote was quickly understood even by my 5 year old niece. I will also say that so far the remote i have found to be very durable as well. It has that cool purple string on the end that clearly is meant for her to spin around the room; losing it sometimes and sending it crashing against the wall or floor. The only con is the price, but i think that about them all. I feel like for the price it should come with some kind of subscription longer then a month for the premium services like netflix or amazon. I understand that amazon might be a tough one. You would think they could toss in some kind of promo code that gets you a years worth of netflix stream service or something. Again I think they should all do this. All in all we are very happy with our little Roku its great for a kids room, and we would recommend it to everyone.

i have been using my roku 3 for about a month now and it has worked better i ever dreamed of, very easy to hook up to the tv. with the wifi no extre wires

Reliability is questionable

When it works its great, but I now have had this happen with two units. I switch to it and all I get is purple and white snow on my screen. I have to unplug it overnight for it to start working again. Argh
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
