I have had my Roku 3 a couple of months very pleased. Monkey proof remote and good choices for apps.

I have had this for several months now and I t has been great. I use it to access Amazon Prime movies and shows. As long as my ISP does not fumble the connection this thing works great and I stream HD movies, etc. without issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It locks up alot. It repeats a few lines after none stop com's.
Plus the same com's. over&over are just as bad as real TV.

Great Little Device

I bought this to watch TV in bed, but it worked so well that it ended up in the living room, where we watch Netflix almost every evening. It functions flawlessly.

This own three Roku's and it is by far the fastest one. Coupled with our fast Internet service, programming loads within seconds and it rarely the cause of any dips or blips (it's very rare and it's always the WiFi router). After our first experience with Roku, we realized that cable TV just didn't fit our lifestyle and viewing preferences and the digital recording feature was an expensive mess. So, we cancelled our cable TV service and are saving money and doing just fine thank you with Netflix and HuluPlus. A couple of weeks ago I stayed in the Waldorf Astoria and decided to take a look at what was on the telly at 11:20 pm. Everything was in the middle of a show or commercial and there was nothing I wanted to watch on hundreds of channels! This experience reminded me that I don't want or like a programming service that makes me watch what they have scheduled for me. Thanks Roku for making it easy, convenient and reliable.

Have had the Roku3 for almost a year now and never been happier with the selections available both for adults and children. We watch more on Roku than on cable, so cut the cable back to basic only just to keep the local news.

Failed twice

I bought a Roku 3 and it failed. The remote was replaced within the 3 month warranty. After another month the unit would not send sound through the earpluga. Since itwas out of warranty I wound up with nothing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
