Almost Great

I really like my Roku device. It does almost everything you would want a device of this sort to do, providing an assortment of entertainment options other than standard cable, and with High Definition and surround sound (when available). And yet there is room for improvement. The current iteration of the software as of this writing causes some stuttering when scrolling through the Netflix options. Other than that, navigating the Roku menus is a snap. One improvement I would like to see is the addition of a web browser, which of course would necessitate some kind of input device such as a mouse/keyboard. This complicates things and is more expensive, but for some, it may just be what we are looking for. A very good product which can be great.

Very happy with purchase after I learned router needed to be set on channel 11 to avoid having to continually reset my router.

A Step In The Right Direction

Good: Connects directly to internet via ethernet cable. Also has USB port for streaming video.
Bad: Firmware for video streaming is behind the times - not current with new codecs.
Needs: Dedicated button for Netflix, YouTube, Etc.

Roku 3 superior to any previous version

After using the roku 3 it is my opinion that this new product is so far advanced over previous versions. I get an HD clear reception with every movie I have selected. The speed is so much faster than all the other models.
