great substitute to cable

Good Player

Great amount of channels some even free. Although the dam thing was always over heating so i modified the casing to allow much better cooling.
O yeah i did this 3 months after i had it as that's all you get warranty wise which is terrible so i opened it up put some good heatsinks on it made breathing holes carefully in the casing and it's never crashed since.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its faster than the old one and very easy to use and setup was even more easier. I love this so much I bought another one for my bedroom. Roku rocks!

Great Features and very good streaming quality

I have had this for quite sometime and this is very easy to use and set up. There are many channels available and the streaming quality is very good. Channels such as Hulu, Amazon, Netflix and FoxNow make catching up with your favorite shows very easy.

ALLOWED US TO CUT THE CORD!

I am a big fan of these Roku streaming players. I recently purchased this Roku 3 for half price as part of a deal with getting Dish World. I've had the Roku XS for over a year, connected to the television in the living room. It has been very convenient using it to watch my Amazon Prime on tv without having to hookup my laptop. There are many other Roku channels that I've enjoyed viewing also. A very wide selection of channels, indeed. After purchasing this Roku 3 recently, we were finally able to cut the cable cord. With Dish World on Roku, my wife is able to view her Filipino channels. We also got a couple months of Hulu Plus free, and I definitely plan to keep it after that. With Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, Dish World, the many other Roku channels as well as over the air digital channels, we have more programming than we could ever possibly watch. It felt so good to call up the cable company and cancel. They sure were extremely nice and offering special deals to try and keep us. I told them no thanks. Ha-ha. Roku gives us way more shows to watch and at a fraction of the price. We have one Roku in the living room and one in the bedroom. Thank you Roku! You finally allowed us to cut the cord!
