I have owned my first roku 3 for about 2 years now and the experience has been truly great. It is a snap to setup, there is a wide availability of apps and the user interface is ultra intuitive. I bought a second roku 3 earlier this year for another TV.
My most used apps are amazon instant video, watch ESPN, YouTube and PLEX. YouTube for roku is a particularly cool app in that it lets you stream from your iPad or android device directly.
I also have a Samsung smarttv and I should say that I would rather have bought a regular TV with an additional roku 3. The roku interface and responsiveness as well as availability of apps is much superior to the Samsung interface.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More choices and the headphone-remote along with the search across ALL CHANNELS for a program can't be beat. Awesome!

Fast excellent interface!

I needed a streaming device that could play Netflix and stream my converted movies that were .mp4 and .mpv format. With the Roku 3, it comes with a USB port that I could plug my external hard drive in and now my kids can watch any movie they want. the Netflix interface loads fast and is very user friendly. Much better than the Wii and Blueray player.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall good, but not 100% reliable

It works well when it works. At times it will just stop/freeze and then I have to unplug it from the power and "re-boot" it by plugging the power back in. Overall I am pleased but this one glitch, while not earth-stopping, is annoying.

can get all the roku channels but still need a wifi computer for Playon. It is easy to use
and the video is sharp and clear.

So quick and easy, truly a joy. I dropped Direct TV as I was not happy with the pricing. Roku offers enough to make up for it.
