I have bought two Roku boxes; I recently updated with the Roku 3 but I probably don't use either one to their fullest potential. Mostly used for Netflix and recently have enjoyed the YOU TUBE channel. I have a new RV coming around Labor Day and plan to take Roku 3 with me to see if it will work on the road. I have read accounts where people take them when they travel, so I thought I would give it a try.

Purchased the Roku 3 and a broadcast antenna about a month ago & haven't regretted it since. We ditched DirecTV because we were tired of the high costs. Now we choose only the programming we want. I miss the sports programming, but not enough to go back. Would definitely recommend Roku.

I own 2 of the roku2 HD. I went through the whole process of setting up the
e-mail and password and waiting for all the channels to load that were on my account. When I tried to watch Netflix it asked me for all the user name and password again and so did Amazon. I also have to wait for the Angry Birds to install as well as load. I am also missing Angry Birds Rio which was on my account.

This is way better than the DVD players that have this stuff built in. I think its also better than the smart tv i wasted money on. this is very smooth to operate.

Works great with Slingbox (via Sling app on iPad)

I bought the Roku 3 so that I could view my Slingbox from my HD cable box in another room on a HD TV that does not have a cable box on it. Why pay extra for another HD cable box? This works great with my iPad that pushes the content from the Slingbox to the Roku 3 and has access to a bunch of other content through the Roku 3. Just what I had been waiting for!
The Roku 3 was easy to set up using my WiFi and I haven't had any issues with the connection at all so far. I also used the earbuds through the remote and that worked great as well.
The only issue that I did have was with one HDMI cable (Amazon Basics) that was causing issues getting any video on the TV from any app (purple screen with something about a security issue) but I was getting the Roku screens. I had the same issue with that cable on a PS3 too so it must have been a bad cable. The issue went away when I swapped out HDMI cables.

We bought this Roku about a year ago and absolutely love it! We no longer have cable television, but we stream the shows through our Roku. On demand! It's wonderful! (Oh, yes . . . we have two other Rokus in our home).
