Decent Features and easy of use.

I like the Roku 3. It is a small unit, can use WiFi or direct connection to a network. It only has an HDMI output for video, yet that is the standard today, so if you have an old TV set, make sure to get a Roku 1.
There is a decent amount of applications available, far more than I would need.
The only issue I have is that after having the unit for several months, it just resets itself every other week or so, especially during viewing of some stream. I have changed all connections to the unit, made sure it is on the UPS surge protected side, and it still happens from time to time. It is not an update of any kind that I can find, yet seems to be inherent in almost any streaming device. A full reset and relog did not help either.

Excellent Product

I bought my Roku 3 to primarily access the British programing on Acorn TV. My smart TV has a few apps like Netflix & MLB TV that I used but nothing much else worth watching. In addition to Netflix & MLB TV we enjoy the internet radio on the tuneIn and Pandora apps. So far just scratch the surface. With Roku 3 I don't get the frequent reloading seen when I use the apps on my TV.

Faster, easier and better than our smart TVs

We have 2 Roku's and 2 "smart" TVs. Both Rokus are faster than our smart TVs, they're both graphically easier (and prettier) to use than our smart TVs, and the remotes are a blessing of simplicity. Our newer Roku has a headphone jack which is great for watching late night when my wife is asleep. If you could buy otherwise great TVs that are "dumb" I would, and just buy Rokus to go with them.

Uber fast

I bought the Roku 3 a year ago and have been very pleased with how quick and dependable it is. Plus it's easy to use. Simple start up steps. Without it, I wouldn't even consider ditching TV. But I am now. I also have a Samsung smart TV. I find the Roku much easier so far. So much I am going to hook one up for my 72 year old parents. Nothing but good experiences from this little device. Have fun. Binge TV is wonderful!

Great little device !!

This is my second Roku. I had Roku XP and then purchased the Roku 3. Love it !!!! I really take advantage of the earphone feature on the remote, it lets me watch what I want without disturbing anyone else in the house. I also really like the selection of apps, Roku has far more than any blu ray player that I have had.

Good, but not perfect

I have had this for about a year now and like this much better than the old Roku it replaced. It's faster and streams way better. However, it does freeze (stops responding) 2-3 times a week and then I have to unplug it and restart. The first one I received froze up 2-4 times a day. I sent it back and received a replacement. Were it not for this problem it would be perfect. ( Yes, I do have the latest software)
