Great gift!

I got this for my birthday. Great interface and snappy. My only complaints are that HBOGo won't work (thank you, Comcast), and the Netflix app messes up audio in surround mode. Super easy to use and I love the simplicity!

I have had this about a month and really enjoy.
The directions are not very helpful on startup.
You have to sort of stumble thru it on your own.
I am still learning things about it a month later.

Love our Roku 3

We bought our Roku 3 back in April and have used it frequently ever since. The biggest reason we purchased the Roku 3 instead of an Apple TV was the ability to access Amazon Prime. The rest of my family members have Apple TV's and I find no difference in the ease of use between the two.

My best friend got it for my birthday and it's been the best gift in a long time, and now able to play YouTube even better. I lowered my cable bill because of Roku.

I love that I have control over youtube from my computer, I watch Amazon Prime and WWE Network on there all the time, Also stream my own media right to the roku which makes sharing pictures , music and home videos that much easier to share.

I bought this to replace using my Xbox 360 as a Media Extender. While I still miss the DVR function, it has replaced the Xbox as my primary way of viewing local content as well as internet content, like YouTube, Netflix & TWiT. Also the remote is very good- it feels good in your hand. The buttons on the remote are large & laid out in a way that you can feel them and know where you are without looking, once you get used to it. This is great, because who wants to look at a remote in the dark while watching a movie? In addition set-up is a breeze, and the UI is simple to understand. All in all, recommended.

Escape from Cable!

We bought our first Roku about 6 months ago and have since purchased a second. It was part of our move to go cable free. So far we have never regretted it, especially as more programming becomes available via services like Netflix. Roku is simple to use and simple to setup. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a streaming device. I look forward to more content being added. One tip: it works MUCH better if you are able to hardwire it into your internet so you aren't relying on wireless. It works alright with wireless, but we have had much better luck with the hardwire, especially when we are away from the router.
