My 3rd Roku

This is my 3rd Roku. I also have an AppleTV, two Western Digital media players, Tivo, etc. The Roku 3 sports a new Netlfix interface. It looks a lot more like Plex and similarly, pleasantly skinned interfaces that show stills from the movies or TV shows. I realize Netflix likely wrote the code for the new interface, but I have to point on one very annoying flaw -- the back button won't take you all the way out of Netflix. You must navigate a mini menu and select an exit -- unlike all the other interfaces on the Roku. Roku should not have permitted that.
The wi-fi remote has a SID and takes up valuable bandwidth. There's no way to disable that. Particularly annoying since I use a Harmony One universal remote, so the Roku remote ended up in a drawer.
If you're new to Roku, you're going to love it. Roku fan-boys will buy it no matter what. Early adopters like me would do better to skip this generation or wait for firmware updates with a more options to disable wi-fi remote, customize back-button behavior and similar.

enjoying the new features

I think this roku unit is good because I can get my online accountstore on my tv, listening to music, seeing utube. A more easy way to turn off the programs and shutdown the unit is needed.

faster - less error messages

bought this as a second unit and love it; have a lot less errors with this unit than I did with the XS; using the XS on an analog tv in another room

SO FAR IT WORKS REALLY WELL I AM USING IT TO STREAM CONTENT FROM MY SERVER IN MY HOME ONLY ISSUE IS IT WONT PLAY EVERY TYPE OF CONTENT BUT SINCE I HAVE HAD IT MORE NEW APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN UPDATED OR ADDED I FEEL SOON IT WILL DO ALL OR MOST OF THE CONTENT LIKE CODEC UPDATE MY SMART TV WILL STREAM MORE CONTENT THAT IT WILL RIGHT NOW NICE INTERFACE IS SMOOTH AND FRIENDLY:0 GOOD PRODUCT I WILL BUY MORE.

Great way to watch Blaze, Netflix etc

We bought RoKu to watch Blaze TV but once we hooked up we found so much more! I love iHeart Radio and YouTube especially. And I like that you can use their search tool to look through all the available channels if you are looking for a particular show or movie. If you don't want to subscribe to the pay-channels, there are plenty of free channels and you can set up a list of your favorites so you don't have to scroll through all the channels to find the one you want. It's a good product and we recommend it.

Love it. Use it for Netflix, hulu, pandora, youtube, and the media player! Likely gonna sell my Xbox to get a roku for the second tv.

We owned and enjoyed our first Roku3 for almost exactly one year. Following a thunder/lightening storm and multiple power losses it stopped working, presumable having been fried. Best Buy replaced it without any question and certainly no hassle and we now again very much enjoy our Roku3!
