Solid little box, I use it constantly

The Roku has taken the place of 90% of my non-mobile media consumption. The product is solid, easy to use, and malleable. The channel selection is constantly growing, and it can only get better from here!
Besides the obvious Netflix and Amazon Prime type channels, I'm also frequently using the radio stations; the documentary and news channels are also occasionally interesting.
I would love to see a dedicated iTunes channel; I've had some trouble with Plex, and being able to reliably access my iTunes playlists would be fantastic!

Got this for Christmas last year. Having problems constantly with it. My son in law got it working after a long process, now not working again. He followed instructions on line, got it working for a month. Again not working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good value, still needs work

I have enjoyed using the 3. The layout is nice and the remote is very simple to use although I wish it was back lit. I've had it a little over a month and had to reboot (pulling the plug) it several times. That's not acceptable. Still beats my Blu-Ray player apps.

I have two one I bought years ago that sometimes plays Netflix and sometimes doesn't....the newer on also causes problems playing Netflix, no problems playing amazon or Pandora....just major issues with Netflix....don't buy if you want to watch Netflix.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Streaming Device

My house has a total of 4 Roku devices installed. Number 5 will be added as soon as the bonus room has a make-over. The Roku 3 is by far the best streaming device available. Even if you have a smart tv I have found the roku interface, speed, and choice is much better than anything available. The 3 is quick and reliable and is my choice to replace older models of Roku. Ditch the cable, stream Netflix and Amazon. Big cost savings and reliability.

Easy to use

Got fed up with our high cable bills and impulsively bought a roku 3. I've been relieved to find that this device is easy to use and with Hulu and Netflix, plus plenty of free channels, we get nearly all of our favorite shows. Since there's a gallery of past shows, we don't need a DVR anymore. We save a hundred dollars a month now. Just wish we could get more sports channels.

I have tried apple TV, Amazon Fire TV , and other streamers. By far Roku 3 is the best out of all of them based on connectivity , form factor, channels . one drawback it that it needs to be able to play more video file types from your personal media. also I would like to see "over the air" compatibility . I have three units and I use all three , I love them.
