More apps = better experience!

We got a new smart TV, and debated whether we needed the Roku with it. The TV only had a relative handful of apps available, as opposed to the thousands that Roku has, plus it is immensely easier to use the Roku than the TV's interface. We love our Roku!

Almost 5 (Remote Problems, Computer Viewing, etc)

Switching from cable to Roku, I was at first in love with my new Roku3. I have now had it a little over a month and a few minor drawbacks are causing me to temper my enthusiasm a bit.
From the physical side, I have had a few times when the remote stopped working, and all I could find to work was to disconnect the Roku3 and reboot (sometimes a few times). I also have experimented with removing the batteries from the remote using the same principles.
At or about the same time the remote started developing problems, the earbuds stopped working and played only static, while the sound once again started coming from the TV.
From an operational view, it would be nice to be able to index the different channels, so I could begin my scrolling in the category they would naturally fall into (ie. News, TV-Comedy, TV-Drama, Documentary, Technical, etc).
I would also like to be able to watch my Roku channels on my computer when the rest of the family is watching something else. I have seen your apps for mobile devices, but cannot find anything to allow me to watch on my computer.
I do not regret leaving cable, but am a little apprehensive what the future has in store for me with my Roku3.
An otherwise happy camper.

We bought the Roku 3 about a month ago and love it! Set up was very easy, and it's faster than expected. Planning on getting another soon.

Love my Roku 3

When I cut the cord with satellite TV, I wanted an additional streaming device. I already had a Roku XD that I liked very much, but to save money, I tried the Chromecast device. However, It performed inconsistently, had far fewer channel choices than Roku, and I really did not like using my iDevice as a remote. I decided to ditch the Chromecast and pay a little more for the Roku 3. The Roku 3 is very fast, has an improved remote - better controls and the audio plugin for ear/headphones - and improved navigation interface, and, of course, has tons of great channels. I'm very happy that I went with the Roku 3. I also got a free 1-month trial of Hulu Plus for getting the a Roku 3 and that's been fun to try.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Roku

I am so happy we bought our Roku's. We have 3. We have tried one other brand but it did not stand up to Roku. We love it!!! We have even referred it to our friends. It saves tons of money too.
