very fast....

I love this roku player. I have both this is the roku 2. The speed difference is tremendous. The only reason I gave it three stars (which I hate to do) is that it freezes at least once a week to where I have to unplug it and plug it back in. In addition, sometimes it will restart itself for no apparent reason. And yesterday it started to change the tone of the audio to a more bass sound...had to restart it and everything was fine. All these problems that I mentioned are ones I can live with and have for a few months now. Thankfully when they happen, I'm not watching anything important that I can't watch later.

Best Roku Yet

Had the old X series for several years and upgraded. Better, faster, great menu, more available channels, easy to set up. Overall, streaming so SO much better than cable...audio and video quality is far better, especially with a home theater system. Great as stand alone or as an addition to cable.

Received this Roku3 as a gift. It has been helpful to enable us to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime videos on our TV vs. on our laptop. That said, we've had issues with programs stalling during the load process and have required us to reboot in order to proceed. The search function is also clunky.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what I needed

I love my Roku! I bought the Roku 3 because the remote has a headphone jack, which is a real bonus for me. When I’m home I’m awake at night and this way I can watch TV without waking anyone. The Roku news section does a nice job of paring the latest stories down to the least trivial of all that’s out on any given day. The channel selection is far more than I need so I’ll never need cable again. Thank you Roku.

Great features

I bought this device a month ago and so glad I did. I can now watch programs that I never could before. The only downside is most of the good ones you need to subscribe to the channel (e.g. netflix)...but the picture and stream down are great. Nice device. Would like it on all of my TV's
