After cancelling our cable, we purchased the ROKU 3 in hopes of replacing what we had lost. Though not a complete success, the ROKU has certainly filled a portion of the void. If we could only get more live streaming of sports, it would be perfect!

I have had this Roku for a couple of years now and I love it. It is so easy to use and makes watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. very convenient.

I have had more than 1 model of Roku with mixed results. Roku 3 is the Home run. You will find the "few extra" bucks is money well spent.
We have no cable or satellite in the house now. Just a small antenna in the Attic for "local" news and Roku 3. I just purchased a second one to use away from the main tv.
The only negative in the world of Roku? The quality of many of the channels is very poor.
Roku has certainly changed (for the better) how we watched tv!

Lots of channels, endless content/options

Have used a Roku but never owned one, after 2 months of use I'm very happy with it. Could not go back to never not owning a Roku again. I do wish the micro SD slot could be used for various things. No option to view files from micro sd, no way of using flash memory to store video, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Clicking the alphabit is so ancient. How about a better remote.
Remote is ancient technology. Let's get with the modern age. I got rid of my secret decoder ring years ago. I think you should too.

I bought this device because my cable company didn't provide access to online material like Pandora or Hulu! It was very simple to setup! Now I can enjoy my entertainment so much more.In fact I put headphones in the remote and stroll around my yard listening to Pandora Radio! If you do not have a smart tv and want to enjoy more than just what is scheduled I recommend this streaming device..well worth the money in my opinion!!
