Wish I had not wasted the money

I have only been able to get the thing to work one time and now I can't get it to work at all

Roku3 is great

I am a longtime Roku user still using Roku and Roku2 on my older TVs, but Roku3 is is a vast improvement in speed and wireless range in my house. My favorite new feature is the wireless headphone jack that I plug into the Roku3 remote. When I travel to visit family I always bring my Roku3 so I can listen to my favorite Roku channels on my tablet without disturbing folks who aren't nightbirds like me.

Great product with one short coming

Roku 3 is great! It has everything you want. I love plugging my headphones into the remote and listen to music or a program while away from TV. It has more choices than any other streaming media. So, you never miss your favorite show.
However, Roku can improve their device and win over any other device, hands down, by adding one component--optical audio. This way, all the shows in 5.1 channel suround sound will come alive
Amazon Fire has the optical audio, but not as many choices as Roku. So, with just adding the optical audio, Roku will be the best streaming media bar none.

Great Way to stream Video

I purchased the Roku 3 almost a year ago and have used it to stream videos and YouTube videos. It is very portable and I use it every Sunday to play videos for our Sunday School Class. We watch the videos from various speakers and then discuss the implications of there thoughts on our religious beliefs. The Roku does a great job of providing a large number of subjects which can be shown. I also have used it to show some old TV shows and a few movies, most from the old days since I do not find many modern movies of interest. This a very useful device and easy to carry to another location and get to run.

Love this as a replacement for cable!!

We bought this a few months ago after getting rid of cable. It has been great and there are a number of free channels - with more coming all the time! The only thing I wish is that it had an on/off switch. It does get quite warm and doesn't need to be on all the time.
