The Roly 3 is fast and responsive, lots of great channels to choose from.I really enjoy streaming items that would normally be on my tablet on the big screen.also, listing to the audio through my during sound makes the experience even sweeter.

Roku 3 purple screen

I bought the Roku 3 about 4 months ago. because we have 2 other earlier Roku's Which have worked great. The Roku 3 just went purple and only plays audio. I have tried switching TV's, cables, everything that we could find to try and fix. Nothing has worked. We love our Roku's and do not have cable tv. We have smart tvs and like the Roku format much better. I will call Roku Monday and see what they can do. I am thinking we will buy the old style (HD I think) to replace the Roku 3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Versatility and Speed

I love how fast I can get the Roku to boot up and be watching shows. And there are so many channels to find the content that I would like to watch. However, I can not get Netflix to work consistently with the Roku. I have no trouble with any other device to watch Netflix. I have tried several different "fixes" that are listed to get it to work but with no luck. Every other channel works flawlessly on the Roku; Amazon Prime is great, You Tube is wonderful and this is what makes the Netflix problem so frustrating. Hopefully there will be a patch soon and it will be back to normal.

It really is the top solution on the market. Much faster bootup and responsiveness than Roku 2xs. And once you have Plex channel installed, the media world is your oyster!
