We are trying to cut down on how many premium channels we have with our provider. Roku really has helped out! it is easy to use and one of the best features is that you can plug a headset right into the remote control! So if late at night in a small apartment, you can still watch your movies full volume and not disturb someone trying to sleep (my husband works weird hours).
I would recommend this to a friend!

i bought roko 3..love it,i can watch all my older shows when i want .its alsome tv',!!afordable too/each month.i cant get enough of this great box!!!enjoy all shows old and new..just great..very happy with it all.easy setup and your ready to watch tv,get one.you will lv it too>>>!!!!

I WAS THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE ROKU 3 PRODUCT, COMPARED TO THE OLDER MODELS. FIRST OF ALL, IT AUTOMATICALLY REVERTS TO 5.1 DOLBY DIGITAL WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ME AND LACKING SOUND, ALMOST EVERY TIME I HAVE TO MANUALLY SWITCH THE SOUND TO STANDARD STEREO IN ORDER TO HEAR ANYTHING. SECONDLY, IT DOES NOT TELL YOU HOW MANY PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE ON EACH OF THE LISTINGS. THE OLDER MODELS TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE 43 Z(FOR EXAMPLE) MOVIES IN YOUR PREFERRED LIST AND SO FORTH. THIS FEATURE DOES NOT EXIST IN THE 3. THE CONTROLLER IS MUCH TOO SENSITIVE AND ANY SMALL MANUVER WILL SET IT OFF. FRANKLY, I HAVE GONE BACK TO THE OLDER MODELS.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent streaming device

I owned a ROKU 2 and it was pretty good. However when I "upgraded" to a 3 I was a bit disappointed. It seemed like every time I started to use it the first program I streamed had lagging audio so I would have to reset it every time. It has since not occurred as much but it was still a hassle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Streams good, but has a glitch

Sometimes when I turn it on, a purple screen comes on and tells me some kind of content is unauthorized and I have to unplug the power cord and plug it back in and then it works fine.

we've used roku for several years, and it better than we had ever hoped for. we now have 3 roku boxes and would highly recommend them dto anyone. just an "excellent product" buy it
