Overheats and stops working often.

Our daughter had a Roku, and we decided on one for our living room. They had trouble with theirs overheating and stopping altogether, or it would alter the voice track so that the video and audio were off...until you shut it off. Our new one, sadly, does exactly the same thing. We have moved it away from all other heat sources, and it now sits with half of the bottom exposed to help it cool better. It seems to help some, but it still happens about 5 times a week now. We are frustrated with unplugging it to let it cool off, then replugging it and letting it reboot. The channel selection is great, although the cost of those channels can add up very quickly, and cable might be the better route after all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The device is easy to use.The only problem i have is the delete channel procedure.You should not have to arrow up to delete channel.

Everything you need to cut the cable. Bought it specifically for WWE Network. Works perfect 99% of the time. Which is a better percentage than Cox.

I found this easy to use and very convenient. I love that I can plug in headphones so I don't bother my husband while I watch a movie and he sleeps.

Have had it for ~1 year and this is an awesome product that excels at what it says it does. The feature that allows me to hook up headphones to the remote control is amazing; no more waking up the wife when I watch shows at night. I don't give it 5 stars cause it does not support youtube.

I bought this device about 9 months ago. This is the second Roku device I've purchased - the first being an original Roku when they first came out. The original one is still working great. I use it in the dining room. I use this Roku 3 in the living room. I love it. Roku has greatly improved their product. More features, the response time is quicker, and full 1080p. High quality for a good price. I highly recommend it.
