Purchased the Roku 3 about 6 months ago. The best streamer that I have used. Quick response times, tons of channels to choose from, handy remote with headphone plug. My biggest gripe was no YouTube channel. YouTube app was added a few months back.
Just to be picky, I would say the Roku could use better native file support, maybe a smartphone remote app.
Other (decent) streamers I have used AppleTV, XBox360, and PS3.

it would be great if.... HDCP ISSUE

I bought this about 3 months ago and loved it until the HDCP issue got completely out of hand. The device is borderline unusable at this point. If not for that issue this would be a 5 star review...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with our Roku 3. Much improved processor speed, stability and Wifi performance compare to the XDS which is still in use but relegated to the bedroom.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well, but has some streaming issues at time but mainly with VUDU -Ultraviolet for some reason ... I have no trouble streaming VUDU on my other 2 devices but with the Roku 3 it always buffers,plays a bit and stops...no setting changes help..oh well other than that it is a good streaming device. Who knows maybe Roku 4 will fix that/
