Excellent but obsolete with smart TV

This is an absolutely great product. Fast, super easy to use and we love it. Couldn't imagine life without it -- I mean, really, are we supposed to plug in a laptop to watch netflix and amazon prime? No way. That said, we recently got a smart TV from Samsung and realized that it essentially had a Roku built in. It doesn't allow us to search across different apps for movies like Roku does but aside from that it's pretty much the same since you just press a button and the icons for Netflix, Amazon prime, HBO go etc pop up. Love Roku, but will move to the guest room that has a non-smart TV.

One of the best bangs for your buck

I bought this one after Xmas to upgrade a Series 100 model. I am very happy with the picture,the remote and the selections of channels. Only con for me is that I miss having a separate audio output. I have an older a/v receiver that doesn't have pass-through but I am probably in the minority.

Oustanding Performance

We bought this to complement our "TV watching." We have DirecTV's Premium Package. It now turns out with the "summer doldrums" in TV programming we have turned to our Roku more than ever. Lately we have been watching Netflix through our Roku and the quality of picture and sound rivals DirecTV's 1080p reception.
I HIGHLY recommend this product to any and all who want a QUALITY alternative to "regular TV."

Love the headphone jack on the remote

We used to have a Roku 2 connected to a bedroom TV. We bought the Roku 3 primarily because of the headphone jack and moved the Roku 2 to the living room TV. Now either one of us can watch streaming video or listen to music channels whenever our spouse is sleeping! (The TV audio is muted when the earbuds are plugged in) I can also turn off the TV after selecting a streaming music channel to listen to. I'm a heavy Roku user so I keep rechargeable batteries ready to rotate into the remote once a week or so.

I have my Roku 3 since December. It is fast and streams without any issues. I do have a "smart tv" where the streaming sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The Roku is always consistent. Very happy with this product

I have purchased 3 Roku models for Myself and have given 5 to children and friends. This is the best value item in my home. Picture Quality of the Roku 3 is excellent. Extraordinary simple to use and connect. One of the best entertainment products ever.

Can't go wrong with a Roku!

I am a huge movie watcher and wanted a quality and reliable product for streaming. The Roku 3 is the answer. Since I bought this box, I have used it almost every day for movies and other entertainment. More channels than I will ever use, but great to have the option. I like it so much that I bought the Roku stick for another TV that works just as well. Very impressed with this product and highly recommend!
