I bought 3 units for different viewing rooms. All performed flawlessly and the audio and video feeds were rich and stable. It really does what the manufactures advertise!

Great features, channels, and options

The Roku is simple and intuitive to use. Many channels to choose from. Many that are offered are free and others require subscriptions. You can pick and choose from the many channels offered and more are added frequently. We love the ability to use Netflix and Hulu Plus on our Roku. Also a great option is the YouTube channel.
My ONLY complaint is from time to time, our device displays a "Content not authorized" message on the screen. This is for channels we are authorized for.We have to unplug and replug the Roku on occasion to "reboot" it. Once rebooted, the channels work again correctly. Occasionally, we have had to reenter our account details.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does what I need it to do

Reliable and easy way to get Hulu and Netflix. Love the audio output on the remote too. Simple: small, works well, and no recurring fees. I do wish there were better ways to subscribe to sports and live TV and a wireless way for it to duplicate the output of a smartphone/laptop, but that's a wishlist, not expectations.

I like the head phone jack in the remote. It does help a little with Verizon throttling down my speed. I'm paying for 50/50 Mbps and when watching Netflix on my Sony T.V. the picture always stalls about every ten seconds. My Vizio T.V. rarely stalls but the picture quality always vacillates from good to bad. The Roku keeps the stream steady. I should mention that I have all these devices hard wired with CAT.6 cable. I do wish the Roku would give me the speed it's working at when viewing. My Sony Blue Ray player does and it's really shows what Verizon is doing to us. Again hard wired with CAT. 6 and the speed can drop to .010 Mbps from a connection that should at least be half the 50 Mbps I'm paying for. If your ISP is playing these games with you too, I would recommend getting this devise. Not for the channels but for a half way steady stream. It does have a lot more channels than my T.V.'s or Blue Ray players another plus.
