A nice addition if you have subscriptions with movie networks. If not, such as I, it gives you free viewing of older movies otherwise not available to non-subscribers. My favorite is Pandora and my husbands is Netflix, being he is a big movie buff.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the Roku about 3 weeks ago,and feel in love with it.Its all that and a bag of chips.Easy set up and it works very well.I will be purchaseing another one.

My son upgraded me from the original Roku to the Roku 3. I love the plug in headset. This way I can watch programs without disturbing my husband. I love all the free channels.
Roku lets me watch shows @ my convenience. And there are many shows I had never seen because of our limited cable and my very busy work schedule.
It also allows me to check out movies that I don't have the time to catch in the theaters, since the nearest theater is an hours drive away
