Great alternative to cable.

I already had Roku 2xd, then received the Roku 3 as a gift more than one year ago. Love being able to watch Netflix, and especially AcornOnline, on my tv without connecting my computer to it. I do not have cable, and this lets me watch my favorite programming.

Great product

I have had the ROKU 3 for a year now. Excellent product with all the features i need. No issues except with a small issue with the remote, It started to not respond well. ROKU replaced the remote after coaching me through some troubleshooting. Excellent response and great customer care all the way around.

Speedy and Love the Headphone Jack

I also have two dinosaur Roku's ( pre-Roku 1) so the Roku 3 is a definite improvement. I love that the search menu will simultaneously show if a title is available on Netflix or Amazon or Hulu etc. The headphone jack on the Remote is my favorite feature. I would not consider another brand until they offer this feature. I just wish Roku had a program to trade-in the ancient (read almost obsolete) older versions for a deep discount for us early adopters/roku fans. I'm hoping Roku 4 comes soon with wifi/ac and USB 3.0 and even faster processor.

I've had my Roku 3 for about 9 months. My favorite thing is that I can use my phone as a remote and I don't have to be in the same room to use it. However, we can never get the Roku to shut off and the remote shuts itself off so then we can't get the remote to come on. When you look at the packaging, you think, cool I have access to all these channels online when in fact you don't unless you have cable. That's why I bought it. It does have more channels than my blu-ray players. I can use the PBS channel but the quality is horrible and most of those shows are on Netflix anyway. It does occasionally freeze. I did contact customer service once because my screen content unavailable and unplugging it didn't help.

Tiny footprint, hundreds of channels (most w/o commercials), subscription channels available if you want Netflix, Hulu+ or sports. For a couple dollars more than the price of 1 month of cable, we dumped cable entirely almost a year ago and WILL NOT GO BACK.

After already owning a Roku 2 and loving it, we added a new TV in anther room so I decided on the Roku 3 and I couldn't be happier. The improvements and added features are outstanding.
