The new features are real great. It offers suggestions and starts the next episode automatically if you want. Picture is beautiful and have had no streaming problems.

I have owned a Roku XD (several of them) once I cut my cable cord several years ago and haven't had any issues! They stream better and more reliably than my Vizio smart television (and offer MANY more stations). I thought that was good...then I purchased a Roku 3. WOW! The channels are even more responsive, greater selection, and the interface is much nicer to navigate.
I strongly recommend a Roku 3 to anyone interested in streaming television but certainly to anyone wanting to cut out their cable provider.

The unit functions as advertised. The instructions do not begin to help the user take advantage of what is available. What sites offer what resources, what is free, what costs are or any or sites like Plex. Even if there are competitive or liability issues it would be nice to give some general advice or refer to web sites.

I was prompted to buy the Roku 3 because I was having so much trouble with streaming movies with my Sony Bluray player. The videos would pause for long periods of time and it was very frustrating. The Roku is marvelous!! Operation is smooth as silk and very fast at acquiring videos. Outstanding search function across many content providers. No other streaming device provides the selection of channels like Roku does. I highly recommend the Roku 3 player for streaming video over the internet.
