This is really easy to set up and very user friendly. If you don't have a fancy blu ray player this is the way to go.

Rapid downloading and response time

I'm largely satisfied except for the absence of some program licencing agreements between Roku and Comcast, like no code for HBO on Demand.

This is my second Roku device--I have a Roku 2 XS from back when it was new that I still use when I travel--and I love everything about it. Other than the occasional DVD or Blu-Ray, this is the only way we watch movies or TV at my house. Between Hulu+, Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube, there's virtually nothing I want to watch that isn't available on the Roku. The interface is great, the setup is incredibly simple, and the sound and video quality exceed what I used to get out of a custom built home theater PC that cost four or five times more money. I love this thing.

I bought to eliminate the cable or satellite tv, programing not there yet, but ihave not checked all available yet.

LOVE my Roku. We cancelled our cable to the day we bought it and now use Netfix, Hulu, Amazon and multiple free channels as well as games all in one little box. You won't regret buying this.

Great UI

I bought one of these about a year ago. My roommates have a Chromecast (which is great in its own right), but this is what we have hooked up to our main TV. The channels are great, it's easy to use, and works great with PLEX. Never had any problems (besides HBO-GO and Xfinity compatibility)

Best streaming device ever!

My 1st Roku, was purchased in 2011. It did not take long before I got rid of my expensive, inferior, aggravating cable company. Five years later, I have not had one regret! The Roku keeps making phenomenal improvements every year.
The Roku" is portable. I take it with me to friend's who have WiFi, or when I travel. After seeing the extensive content, they usually buy one for themselves. The Roku is user friendly, & continues to add useful features and channels for Roku users. iPhones, iPads, droids,tablets, etc., can download the Roku remote app.
There are too many wonderful, useful features to list them all. I would recommend it to every one of every age who likes to watch TV.
I am big fan of the Roku company & their streaming device!
