Very Nice

The Roku 3 has been great. I enjoy the content and it seems to keep itself updated and working well. It would be nice to have a small audio out on the player as well as the remote. I have been changing out rechargeable AA batteries to use my speaker system. I may be doing this all wrong though, it may be something I could do from the tv. LG flatscreen. If that is the case then 5 stars.

Fast, easy to use, but major bug with remote

The Roku 3 is, fittingly, my third Roku, after two 2s. As with the others, it's fast, easy to set up and use. Picture and sound quality are excellent (from the three apps I use, Netflix, Amazon, & Pandora). Like the Vimeo app, but I wish it had YouTube! The remote is overall very good, not needing line-of- sight to work.
The major bug is linked to its best new feature: the headphone jack on the remote. I use my Roku 3 mostly on my treadmill, and I love not having a headphone cable (& extension) draped over the top from the TV. Plus, I can control the volume with the same remote as the player.
The bug is that if you leave the headphones plugged in when you're not using the Roku, it totally drains the remote batteries in a matter if days. This is NOT DOCUMENTED in the included manual or online. I contacted Roku support, who acknowledged the problem and recommended I get rechargeable batteries for the remote. That's silly; just unplug the headphones when you're done! It seems like a simple fix to disable the power to the headphones when media is not streaming, but until Roku fixes this, unplugging the headphones is an easy solution.

My ROKU unit works fine however my Dish Network internet is very unsatisfactory which often hampers the ROKU performance. If you have ROKU and are considering Dish; don't do it. Dish can't deliver the bandwidth needed or reliable streaming.

So far, I can't complain about my Roku 3.
Setup was extremely easy. The user interface is clean and intuitive. I haven't had any issues with connectivity or any of the channels I've used thus far.
I spent a lot of time debating between the Apple TV and the Roku, and I ultimately went with the Roku by a slight margin. I don't regret that decision one bit.

Finally you can watch T.V. without interruptions every 4 to 6 minutes. Depending on the channel some have no interruptions at all...HOORAY!

Despite flaws, still the best around

Volume buttons on remote broke after only a few months (Roku replaced it for free) and the unit freezes and crashes once a week, but I can only attribute this to the popularity and mass production of the unit. My original Roku still worked the best, but the 3's features and overall quality beat any other streaming player on the market. Will definitely buy another when this one dies.
