Lots of channels to access

My family and I have been using this daily over the last 11 months. It's a great product, easy to set up and use. The Roku gives access to many more channels than anything else I have looked at.

love my roku, access is simple, fast easy. the roku app on my iPhone slows me to use phone as remote, makes it that much more enjoyable. the earphone connect on roku remote allow me to watch without disturbing others

Great Features, Good Content, but Glitchy

Overall, I'm happy with my Roku 3, I mainly use it to access my Vudu/Ultraviolet digital movie titles, Netflix and YouTube. Paid content is good, the free content in only average. I understand that free content comes with commercials, but the same three in a row? Annoying.
The box itself is kind of glitchy, I usually have to reset it a couple times a week. I like having the headphone jack on the remote, I use this feature a lot as I live in an apartment. Using the headphones with the remote does eat a lot of batteries, so I got a set of rechargeable ones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Changed the way I watch TV

Best purchase I ever made. It has totally changed the way I watch TV. Got rid of 800 channels with nothing on and went to basic cable stations with Cable company. Now pay $20.00 per month instead of $140.00 With Hulu, Netflicks, and Amazon Instant Video I can watch what I want when I want, and whole series at my convenience. I just love it.

I love my Roku

Works great, loads fast, connects to wi-fi easily, what more could you need? Oh, and the point anywhere remote controls are awesome. The only thing I might like is a clock. Since it is replacing my cable box, a small clock for when the TV is off would be nice to have.

Reboot problems otherwise Good

The Roku has given fairly good service over the time I have had it. The only major fault has been the automatic and manual rebooting (manual requires removing the power cord for a short time and then reinserting it). Some of the causes for rebooting are: - The picture suddenly freezes. - When a picture starts the sound is not in sync with lip movements. - When listening with a headset the sound can either be channeled via the remote control or by plugging directly into the TV. If the headset had been plugged into the remote control but next time into the TV the sound will cycle from normal to low. - After watching a movie and removing it the program cycles back to the saved list but the block showing the next on the list will be black and none of the other saved items will show (although using the remote arrows the titles will show but nothing else). - Sometimes the sound will stop from the headphones and revert to coming from the regular TV speakers. - There may be some other problems but the above are the major recurring ones. This rebooting requirement will sometimes happen daily and sometimes will skip several days. Rebooting always cures the problem.
