Its being 6 months now with Roku. I am always on it.
I have suggestion to add more apps for music which I find missing. May be like Radio, Saavan etc.

My grandkids are always at my house. The Roku provides lots of entertainment and movies they like to watch. Better than cable.

We dropped cable and opted for an antenna and a Roku player. We are very happy with our decision. It saves us money and prevents us from channel flipping for minutes on end. Watch the shows you want without flipping through the shows you don't! Everything is "on demand".

Works like it should

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife, and she loves it as do I. It is easy to access streaming sites like Netflix or Amazon Prime, and includes options for many other channels. The remote with the headphone jack is great, and is perhaps the best improvement over the Roku 2; it's great for when my wife wants to watch shows like 'Dance Moms' which make me want to jab a screwdriver deep into my ears. It's also great for exercise, so you can watch a show and hear it over the exercise bike. My only complaint is that the screensaver doesn't work as well as the Roku 2, so that after you stop watching a clock will appear on the screen; it doesn't turn on unless you are at the right screen.

Be careful with this product installation because you will end up with a dozen other programs you did not want install. A map showing how to find specific products and what they are would be helpful.

Features not as expected

Purchased this to see if it could replace having to purchase a DVD for another TV, and availability of free channels. I'm hearing impaired so closed captioning is a must. The DVD player pulled in closed captioning from Netflix whereas the Roku although having the closed captioning on/off said closed captioning wasn't available. Also, could not locate anything more than what is available via a similarly priced DVD player. We will be returning the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I honestly couldn't be happier with my Roku3!
I'm not a tech genius, but I didn't even need to read the instructions to connect it. (I was jokingly taught if I need instruction, I don't need the product; but if I fail, then by default go to instructions). Anyone can connect it, it does the rest. I was delightfully surprised.
I have told all my friends about it and recommend this product to everyone - especially those looking for a way to escape the clutches of the cable/satellite Gods.
The reason for 4 stars, is *only* because not all formats are able to be used on the Roku3; I am looking for the time when it updates (which it does via your wifi) and the few other formats left out can be utilized on it and we won't have to default to our laptops/PC etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!
