Really, Really Good

The Roku 3 is a very well-conceived product. The interface makes browsing content easy and intuitive (Roku's big strength) and I'm very pleased with the Plex app, as I have a nice collection of media stored on my Plex Server and was worried it would be difficult to gain easy access to it from the Roku. I'd love to see more, and better built, apps but that's not an issue with the Roku, but rather with the third-parties that write them. I highly recommend the Roku 3!

We're trying to cut costs wherever we can and decided to let the cable go - I'm so glad we did. Although I'm a little worried about football season, I haven't missed cable AT ALL. There's always something to watch. Great unit, paid for itself after 2 months with no cable bill. We love it!

Solid competition for Appe TV, but.....

Sure, Roku has many more channels, but 90% are rudimentary, clunky, or otherwise useless. I bought this solely because Apple doesn't have the Amazon App for Prime free movies (they hate each other!). The Roku works great, I must say, but the interfaced isn't as good as the Apple TV, nor is the quality of the picture. Roku's picture is fine though, I'm nit-picking. The one thing Roku should work on is sound output. To hamstring 5.1 surround to hdmi output only causes issues with many older surround receivers. Optical out would be a much better solution IMHO ....

Great feature but the new layout bad

While there features are great the format for netflix and hulu are horrible. I have the very first Roku and I have an LT and they should have left it the way it was at least stopped at LT. Hulu and Netflix is very hard to navigate compared to my original Roku especially Hulu. Both have tried to jam to much on there home page and for an old man with week eyes you can't read it. Now that said maybe it's Netflix and Hulu that is to blame. Even though I hate the format Roku is still a great product and I enjoy it and watch it more than regular TV. Just quit trying to improve and leave well enough alone.

Great Little Gadget!

I love my Roku 3. It is a great asset for tv watching and so easy to use. I will be down grading my cable subscription very soon. Roku has so many free channel options that after 3 months I am still reviewing them. I recommend this product very highly.

I have had two roku 3 for about a year now and the only thing that I wish is that they had more selection of current programs offered. I know these are dependent of the networks making these available but they would still be nice, amazon has too much they say is there and then they end up charging you for it, some other providers are the same way.

Great Multimedia Device at great price

Great streaming device, particularly for cord cutters. Set-up takes < 5 minutes. Interface is simple and intuitive. We stream from other devices - a PS3 and a since retired smart blu-ray player. The Roku is the easiest to use with the best interface. Streaming over wifi is just as good as the PS3 which is connected to our cable modem via ethernet. Love the headphone jack built into the remote - I did pick up better over the ear headphones though. Nice for streaming music as well.
