Roku 3 has easy set up and has many channels straight out of the box. I have had a few issues, however nothing devastating. I would like to see more free channels with no constant resets. Suggest easy to add channels. there are some Roku channel accessible how ever contains age limits preventing channel access. I definitely see needed improvement with the Roku 3...Customer service is less than desired.

I needed to replace my older Roku which died after two years. The 3 is noticeably better -- snappier responses. Hoping for a longer lifespan!

It has everything!

I love the Roku! It was a breeze to set up. It has everything I subscribe to: Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon, YouTube, and offers so many channels not available on my other streaming devices. The free Disney app is so cool! It has many "to go" channels/ways for satellite/cable subscribers to access their programming. The Roku is so portable, one can take it on vacation. The earphones for private listening is the best feature!!

The best streaming device gets even better!

After being very happy with my Roku 2 XS for a couple of years, I moved it upstairs and got the Roku 3 for my big screen. Everyone in my family has been delighted with it. The kids love that it is even more powerful and plays even better games. It loads faster too and never has to buffer during playback. In fact, it is so much faster that my old XS now seems slow in comparison although this may be partly due to the fact that the XS is now connecting via WiFi instead of Ethernet cable as it did when downstairs. The other feature of the Roku 3 that is so simple yet, to me, so revolutionary is the headphone jack in the remote control. Now I can finally hear all of the dialogue in a film without playing it at a volume that disturbs others. Decent wireless headphones cost a good bit on their own, but Roku even provides a nice pair of earbuds with the remote. I also make frequent use of the USB port to play files from my flash drive. That was my favorite feature about the XS. My only complaint is that there are still occasional freeze-ups that cause an automatic reboot or sometimes require a manual (pulling out and then re-inserting the power cord) reboot of the unit. These are very infrequent, however, and even that has gotten better in that the reboot time is much faster now, usually 30 seconds or less. Overall, the Roku 3 ranks as one of the best technology purchases I have ever made. As Roku continues to add more channels and features I continue to be very happy to have it.

I watch almost every day and have actually found stuff I couldn't get on cable or dish. There's a small learning curve as far as where to find everything you want to watch, but we got rid of our cable all together and save a lot of $$$. Definitely worth it for us.

I have had my Roku 3 for several months now and am content with its use. I do enjoy using it to access Netflix, Acorn, and Amazon Prime rather than using my smart TV technology. I do wish though that some thought had gone into battery life since being a bit hard of hearing, I need to use the ear buds and they seem to use up an intolerably amount of power. I finally gave up, bought a few rechargeable batteries and a charger, and just change the batteries daily since I get about a day and a half on two AAs. Otherwise, I am thrilled with my Roku and would purchase again should the need arise.

Thanks to my Roku player, I am not longer paying high fees to cable or satellite companies for TV content. I have enough and more to watch, using my Roku player and all that I can access through it. For far less than cable I am enjoying much more entertaining content, and I get to choose what I want to see. I am not forced to buy a "package" filled with content I could care less about. The best investment I've made in years!!!

Great device

I bought my Roku 3 a couple months ago to watch MLB TV and it works great. However, there has been a few times when trying to view the home page the apps are not visible and the Roku player displays circles showing the apps are attempting to load. I have to go to the setting feature, click on settings then go back to the home page to get the apps to load.
