Great Device

I purchased this looking to upgrade from my Logitech Revue. I was disappointed in the Logitech's lack of choices. I can honestly say that the available Roku programming is much better than I was hoping for.
I specifically purchased the Roku 3 because I wanted the Ethernet connection. I'm very pleased so far!

My wife and I were having trouble with our Samsung Smart television.We purchased the Roku 3 hoping to fix the problem with Samsung's Smart Hub. We not only fixed the problem, we got vastly more content and speed loading the content. It has all the paid and free channels you could ever wish for. The Roku3 is about the size of a large hamburger, incredibly easy to set up, and a neat search feature that tells you which channels your content can be found on with direct links to the actual content on the channels. You don't need direct line-of-sight for the remote to work so you can just hang it in the rear of the TV. There are downloadable apps for smartphones and tablets that have all the features of the remote that comes with it. The apps make it a breeze to pop up pictures and video to display on your TV. At first we were apprehensive about the price. We now believe Roku3 is a real bargain for what it does. Dont buy a smart TV. Buy a regular TV and a Roku3, you'll be glad you did!

Now have two ROKU machines. Haven't really spent much time looking at all the channels. I use Netflix and Amazon Prime. I am using with a wired ethernet connection and that works well. It does what I was looking for it to do.
My goal in buying it was to get rid of cable. I haven't gotten rid of it yet. But, if my antenna system worked better I would.
One thing could be improved for me. The info displays on the shows/movies to watch are difficult to read. But, this may be the app as opposed to the ROKU.

At first I was very nervous to cancel my traditional cable that I had become very comfortable with over the years. Once I became familiar with my Roku I was very glad I made the decision. My 2 best friends have also now dumped their cable and are living happily with Roku.

I love my Roku but, the volume will not turn down on the headphone jack so I cannot listen to it in private. Everything else is fine.

Never had cable and ws thinking of getting cable/satellite but saw ROKU, decided to give out a go. WOW we were so glad we did, so for all those with monthly bills.......we are so sorry but maybe you will see the light and view for free, there is so much out there that you can't see and all ROKU users can. :-)

Roku just keeps getting better!

This is the 4th Roku I've purchased in the last 6 years. While the previous model Rokus were good, the Roku 3 is outstanding. Boot up is faster, menu is more user friendly, and the wireless connection speeds improved greatly. This is also much smaller than my other units.
I would recommend this to a friend!
