I like the size!

We have had the Roku 3 for 3 or 4 months now and I like the faster speed as well as the size of both the unit and the remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There are few products, particularly tech gadgets, which are really satisfying in the medium term. We have had a Roku for the last three years - started with a 2 XS and upgraded to a 3 - and we love them.
We even occasionally use the wireless audio functionality built into the 3's remote - when we have people staying and we don't want to disturb them. Such a simple, effective innovation.
Before Roku Era (B.R.E.) was a dark time in our household. My desire for flexibility and integration causing much undue tension with my partner's need for a system which "just worked". We had Boxee and Windows Media Center and XBMC-based Linux machines and PS3s with PlayTV (in the UK) - all of which should have delivered what we needed, but none which did so reliably and with simple sofa-ready usability.
The only thing which would improve our Roku experience would be to be able to subscribe a-la-carte to certain cable channels, in particular BBC World and CNN. And I don't think that's necessarily in Roku's control. We could get rid of our awful FiOS DVR completely. I'm happy to pay for content, I just don't want to pay for a bunch of Real-House-Wife-Sports-RealityTV-encrusted rubbish channels AND be forced to watch advertisements AND to navigate around _deliberately_ awkward set top box GUIs.

perfect for slow internet

We have the world's slowest DSL connection (2.4 mbps), but unlike my smart tv, the Roku barely ever buffers or pauses during playback.
The built in headphone jack is amazing.
My favorite feature is that when I misplace the remote; I can use my phone to control it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Much better than spending all the extra for a "smart" TV, especially when this is portable and customizable. EXCELLENT option to stream content from your computer over Wi-Fi as well.

We Love our Roku!

We've had our Roku for maybe a year now.. We really enjoy it! However we do have problems from time to time when we have to reset it. (unplug) because of HDMI issues. Our HDMI is fine.. So not sure what the problem is. But we LOVE Roku!

Cut the cord a couple years ago. Roku has been our go to device. More content then a normal person could possibly watch.
