I've had every generation of Ruku to date and I have to say they've finally gotten it right. It's responsive and reliable!

Falls short...

Missing outputs high end systems need for features. Most of all, an optical or coax output for multi-channel sound separate from HDMI, and composite video + L/R analog audio out for multi-zone and/or headphone use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent streaming device

I am so happy I bought this. My cable bill was so expensive, I decided to try something else. Honestly, I haven't used my regular cable TV since I bought this a few months ago. I LOVE IT. I don't mind waiting to watch some of my shows. Wish it had more SciFi shows, but that is okay.

Very fast menu navigation, UI is user friendly; so user friendly that my kids of four and six yrs find their shows under the Netflix kids section without needing adult help.

Great unit but the remote, not so much.

I have had this unit about 2 months. It is the easiest way to fully enjoy my netflix, espnwatch, and other channels. Streams very well, however, the remote is a battery hog. At first I thought it was the use of the unit's earbuds that caused the battery usage, but turns out when the remote also has a wireless connection (makes sense when you think about it but I had not thought of it before). That wireless connection is continuous when the base unit is plugged in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
