I've owned 2 Roku's and this is the better by far.

It's very quick and I prefer the 2 dimensional channel grid display over my older Roku.

Great interface for content providers; seamless, reliable and easy to use. It would be nice if it supported peripherals (keyboard) for searches and account setup. I look forward to more partnerships between Roku and other content providers for stations.

I've been a Roku fan since I bought my first player in 2010. It's fast and easy to use, and there are a huge variety of good channels available, including Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Rdio, Pandora, etc. It's easy to set up, starts up fast and has few bugs. I have a Google TV in my house too, which has been a buggy nightmare; the contrast with Roku is stark. My only difficulty with Roku is that it's difficult to type long keywords into search fields.

Some issues, like losing sound when program goes to break. May not be an issue with the Roku. Could be other associated devices, e.g., sound system, TV, cable box, etc. Works better than my older Roku upstairs.

We bought the original "Netflix Box" in 2008 and have bought 3 more since! We enjoy the wide array of content available from the Channel Store. With native support for DLNA servers, I can even stream pictures, movies, and music from your home computer. We love watching our favorite shows On Demand without being tied to our Cable company or the network's time schedule.
Pros: Set up is Plug and Play Easy, yet versatile interface WiFi Remote Headphone jack on remote Tons of Free Content available
Cons: Live US sports require ESPN or NFL/MLB/NBA/etc subscriptions (or an antenna ;)

I would buy this unit again. I have the ROKU 2 and 2XS, which I have been pleased with, but the ROKU 3 is faster and maintains a strong signal. Very pleased.

only have had this product for maybe 4 months and it constantly shuts down or doesn't come up. I have to unplug at least 2 or 3x a day and then plug it back in to restart it..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've had our Roku 3 for a while now and couldn't be happier. It's easy to navigate and it gets all of the channels we actually watch. Even YouTube has been made more shareable during get-togethers. :)
