this little Roku player was so easy to set up. There are lots of channels to add to your line up. I have spent hour watching various marathons of TV shows I had never seen before, unlike the choices cable TV offers. My only complaint are the movies offered, not many award wining movies listed.

I've been using the Roku 2 and 3 for about 3 years and absolutely love it! I considered Apple T.V but Roku gives you more choices in my opinion, and I don't need to watch on all my devices.

I brought this product several months ago and It was a wonderful change from cable. I was skeptical at first, but am now considering getting a box for all the bedrooms in my home.

Bought this 4 months ago and have zero regrets. You can still get your local stations (for free) from an antenna. It has all the content you could ask for and then some.

Best cord cutting experience I've had so far

I have put off purchasing any of these type of players on the market, waiting for something stable and reliable. I've wanted to get off the cable machine for years, tired of the "requirements" to have channels I just did not need, but forced to pay for no matter what my viewing needs were. I can say that with this device, I'm 70% closer to cutting the cord. I get my news on the net (live), I get my movies by buying them and streaming them, now there are just a few more channels needed and I'll be free. I've purchased 3 of these for my adult kids to help them find the way to cable freedom as well.

Great media streamer, unless you use Netflix

Until I bought the Roku 3, I had a Roku 2 (which I love). I decided to upgrade to the Roku 3 when I bought a new television. The Roku 3 worked great for a couple of months. Afterward, Netflix stopped working. I was still able to watch all of my other channels and stream my music, but Netflix just wouldn't work. I tested my connection to the Netflix servers over my Roku 3 and everything was working- I just couldn't stream anything. After about an hour on the phone with Netflix trying the usual unplug-wait-plug back in, uninstall-reinstall routine, we determined that it was the Roku. I did an internet search and discovered that others have had this same issue. I used my Roku 3 primarily to watch Netflix. After much frustration, I mothballed my Roku 3 and went back to the Roku 2. Not surprisingly, I can stream Netflix again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had already had bought Roku 1 back in 2010 and still use today. NO Problems with it! But I wanted HD and more memory. Just Oct 2013 I bought ROKU 3. L O V E IT!! I have more options with what channels to have on my list. Facebook, YouTube (LOVE THIS), DailyMotion, AcornTV, HULU +; Angry Birds, Card and You Don't Know Jack games & etc. Also over 1000 other apps to pick from to watch with TV channels, even many different styles of music; Too tired to go to church, the Roku APP Channel has over 500 churches to pick from. But be careful and read your info on your apps some charge you single, monthly or yearly charges. You do need a router or Wifi to hook onto your internet. I love the screensavers, so many to choose from. Don't worry you can still rent or purchase movies from Roku's M-GO or those other app that have the same option. I have more than 3 (different prices and options for movies) no more wasting gas to return movies next day. Friendly support is right there whenever you need help by making a call. I could go on and on....
