Tempermental little machine

Bought this about 2-3 months ago and at times it does not like to pause programs (Hulu, Netflix, HBOgo, and maybe one or two other apps), so we have to go to the home screen and when we load the program again we have to fast forward (if it works) and try to find the spot we were on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great performance but no A/V cable connections

I had been happily using the original Roku for years, and I upgraded to the Roku 3 to get the new updated interface and search features (and Angry Birds game!). The performance is great, and it is very very easy to setup. While all other wireless devices in my home (PC, iOS) seem to drop their wifi connection at least once a day the Roku 3 has NEVER (not once!) dropped its connection. The only thing I don't like about it is I have to connect it to the TV using the HDMI cable so the video and sound run through the TV. I cannot run the sound through our old stereo receiver and so I have to hear the movies through the TV speakers which are not nearly as nice as our stereo speakers. I've searched for a work-around to this but have not found one yet. But the universal search feature can't be beat! Even my husband can use it - just type in the movie and it tells you which channels that movie/show is available on and how much it costs. So easy. Great product, especially for the price.

I just love this product! I have gone without cable/ satellite now for almost 2 years! Have it hooked to a HD TV, in fact I have 3 of the HD product in my home. It would take the cable/ satellite loads for me to go back to their products.

I bouught it about a year ago and the offerings just seem to expand with more stations and movie sites. I would like to see some of the cable channels offered too through the Roku as well as my local channels. If these were offered, I'd ditch my cable company.

had for about 2 years and it works great. being able to choose your own app or deleting them easy to do. there are a ton of apps, some are from around the world.

Remote Would Not Pair

Got one for my mom, and I ended up trashing the Roku 3 and going out and getting a Roku 2 because I could not get the remote to pair. I subsequently read several reviews of people having the same problem. Skip this model

I love my Roku 3. Even though my original Roku still worked well I replaced them all with Roku 3s. Great product / Great interface
