I have top tier internet (70+ mbps) and am constantly waiting for the "channels" to load. Remote has to be re "paired" at least once a week to the roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A very good device. I like to watch Hulu (subscription) and YouTube, mostly. I wish there were more channels that had free content. There are some things on the web that I am surprised do not have a Roku channel.
I have had trouble at times with the device freezing up. In fact, it reset on me before. Thankfully, I was able to restore the channels from my Roku account, and they all were quite updated.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'VE HAD ROKU 3 FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW . NOT A BAD DEAL JUST WISH IT HAD A NEWS CHANNEL THAT WAS CURRENT AND I COULD GET RID OF MY CABLE!

The Roku is light years away from the current Google TV, which says a lot about the product. I only got good things to say about this thing, without taking into account the fact that you can listen to your TV with your headphones virtually wireless, it's almost perfect. If only the channels were included automatically just like cable and there were more content for music, it would be a better world.

There are many free channels. It's nice to be able to link Netflix directly through the Roku box. The box itself is small and does not take up much space.

Roku 3 is easy to install. Streams tv wonderfully from my wireless router. No need for Comcast or Direct TV. More and more channels being added.
