Solid product with some missing features

On balance, it works well expect for two points -
If you unplug it, it doesn't tag exactly where you left off, so you have to search for that show again and fast forward to the last viewed point. It's called non-volatile RAM.
It doesn't appear to have a sleep mode, so it runs hot all of the time. That explains point one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You won't be sorry with this purchase!!!!! I am writing this review because this is how my husband and I were able to make such an informed decision!!!! This is the best thing EVER!! No more cable!! No more commercials!! You choose your channels that best fit you and your family!! Do the research for yourself. When you do, you will be at the store or online buying your roku also!! We have the roku 3

My favorite streaming device, period.

I bought the Roku to go with a new TV that I expected to be lightly used, just so it could have the same streaming options that my other TVs have with their attached Blu-Ray players, PS3/4, etc. Now the Roku is my favorite streaming device. Its small size makes it very portable and I've already moved it to multiple TVs and taken it over to friends' houses, just to have features like HBO Go and Amazon streaming anywhere I want. The streaming quality is far superior to that of any Blu-Ray player or Smart TV I have seen, and I'd argue it even has a slight edge over the Playstations. I'm very tempted to get a second one to replace using a Blu-Ray that has the exact same apps (except HBO Go), that's how good it is.

This is the second Roku I have had and I loved them both but the 3 is a great improvement. I highly recommend it!!

We bought a Roku about 8 months ago. We use it abut every night. We have never had any problems with it. It is easy to learn and navigate.

The Roku 3 is the best in class. The apps are perfect for us, as we enjoy both Amazon Prime and Netflix. Setup is a breeze, and ease of use is excellent, even the most technically challenged loved ones in your household will easily navigate the menu system. Add the ability to connect headphones to the remote, and the Roku can't be beat.
